RFK Powell, WY Camp Positions
There are many opportunities to serve at RFK camp Powell, WY. We realize that not everyone can commit to being at camp for the entire week, but we still have jobs for you. There is work to do before, during and after the week in the mountains. We have mandatory training for those volunteers working directly with the children so that both kids and adults stay safe. Our goal is to help everyone feel comfortable doing their jobs. Our greatest need for volunteers is being a “big camper.” These volunteers usually are assigned one to two children that they work with throughout the week. Special bonds are formed between the little campers and their big campers that can be carried into the mentoring club if desired. As in all families, e have camp aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpas and even some “cousins” (15 years and older) that work as a team to make camp run smoothly. We take our own kitchen staff and have other volunteers that come for special events throughout the week. Camp is fun! It is hard but it is fun and if you have even the slightest interest in serving the foster children of the Big Horn Basin of WY I encourage you to contact us. We have the opportunity to be Christ’s hands and feet in the beautiful mountains in the northwest Wyoming.
